I think George Harrison is the Greatest Guitarist of All Time because he just is. If you listen to some of the Beatles songs you will hear excellent lead guitar sounds coming from George. He was someone who took pride in his guitar playing, and he made sure every chord was sounding good and ringing right. He was the one who taught John Lennon to play the guitar well. He is an excellent all around guitarist, and he deserves to be the best. Which by the way he is.
