No one needs to explain why Jimi Hendrix is the greatest guitar player ever. Voodoo Child is parsecs ahead of any other guitarist that ever lived. Never has there been an activity or field in which humans have taken part that didn't produce many greats of comparable quality. Guitar playing, on the other hand, with its countless representatives, is unique in that this one man was/is so much greater than anyone else. And the competition was/is truly mind-blowing.
