Les Paul

by Dave Sillyman
(West Bridgewater, MA)

Les Paul invented the first electric guitar. He founded original styles of playing the guitar. When frustrated that everyone was copying him, he quit, but, returned and created new original styles of guitar playing. After a devastating car crash, he overcame his injuries and fulfilled his career. He has jammed with so many for so long!

Les Paul - Written Down in History
by: David Schneider

Definitely one of the biggest figures in American music, his hallmark guitars are still commanding some of the highest prices new and used and are among the favorites of musicians from many genres.

You have to classify as genius a fabulous guitar player who also innovated not only playing techniques but also the physical aspects of the modern electric guitar, two completely separate areas of knowledge.

Truly one of the greatest, he will be long remembered and emulated.
